The Christmas cheer continued at I.C.E.S. today! Mrs. Allyson Tankersley's third grade students enjoyed breakfast and a Christmas party where they each received a personalized blanket, cozy Christmas socks, and a stocking full of treats. The students loved their holiday surprises!

Yesterday, Mrs. Ariel Roberts' Kindergarten class at I.C.E.S. was full of Christmas cheer! The students ate breakfast, and then they each received a book with a matching toy, as well as a stocking full of treats. The students were so excited about their fun, bookish Christmas!

Today at I.C.E.S., Mrs. Dorrity's fifth grade class created gingerbread houses to explore constructive and destructive forces. The students created houses and watched as a destructive force struck them. Students learned about science and ended up with a tasty treat!

Mrs. Pylant’s class enjoyed a sweet ice cream treat because all of the students increased their scores on the Mid-year I-Ready Reading and Math Diagnostics.
Two students received a kids meal lunch for having the overall highest growth in each subject.

This week at I.C.E.S., students and teachers have celebrated our holiday dress-up days with festive gear and costumes. On fifth grade hall, Santa even visited with his elves, reindeer, and the Grinch! Tomorrow's theme is "candy cane day," with red and white outfits.

Mrs. Ariel Roberts' Kindergarten class at I.C.E.S. participated in a winter time activity by making pine cone bird feeders to give our feathered friends food for the cold months. Afterward, the students wrote about the steps of creating the bird feeders. As you can see, the students enjoyed the activity while they were also learning!

Students in Mrs. Spell's 1st grade class were rewarded for their Mid-Year Growth in both reading and math on the i-Ready Diagnostic!
📚 For reading growth, students enjoyed flavored Lexile Lemonades.
➗ For math growth, they celebrated with Math Munchers Trail Mix.
All students showed growth in both reading and math! We are so proud of their hard work!
