Good afternoon,
Let me first say I thank God that we have not had any loss of life or homes in Irwin Co to my knowledge. I want everyone to know that my initial decision to have school tomorrow was to give students a safe place to go where they would have air conditioning and food. However, due to numerous staff members without power and still wide spread power outages, Irwin County Schools will be closed tomorrow. I apologize for any inconvenience.
