Last week marked a significant milestone for Irwin County High School as the much-anticipated groundbreaking ceremony for the new wrestling facility took place. Irwin County Schools' superintendent Kerry Billingsley, board members, and wrestling coaches gathered to celebrate this exciting development. The new wrestling facility is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the esteemed wrestling team and their coaches. Over the years, the wrestling team has consistently demonstrated excellence, both on and off the mat. Their remarkable achievements and unwavering commitment have earned them a respected place in the community and the hearts of Irwin County staff and residents. The facility will feature state-of-the-art equipment and ample space for training, ensuring that the wrestling team has everything they need to hone their skills and achieve new heights. The new building is not just an investment in infrastructure but a commitment to the future success of Irwin County's wrestling program.
On National School Principals Appreciation Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated leaders who guide our schools with unwavering commitment and passion. Vaccine information for current 10th grade students (rising 11th graders)
Irwin County Schools will be open as normal tomorrow, March 22nd.
Parents and Staff,
Irwin County Schools will be closed Thursday, March 21, 2024 due to a major water line break around one of the buildings. We hope to have the issue resolved by the end of tomorrow and plan to have school on Friday. If anything changes regarding Friday, we will let you know as quickly as possible. All staff should report to work by 9:00 am on Thursday, March 21st.
