Didgeridoo

On Wednesday, February 20, all ICES students enjoyed a performance by Didgeridoo Down Under. Rob Thomas demonstrated the didgeridoo, an instrument from the native Aboriginal people in Australia. A didgeridoo is made from eucalyptus trees in which termites, or white ants, have hollowed out. To play it, create a tight seal and vibrate your lips and it makes such a unique sound. Some students were invited to try and play a "didgeridoo."  Rob also talked about geography, history, Australian culture & animals, and taking care of our planet.

Thank you so much to the American Legion Post 100 and Bill Prather for the donation towards the Didgeridoo Down Under Program.
